1. Authors should keep a copy of everything submitted, as manuscripts, graphics, and photographs may not be returned.
2. Electronic submissions are preferred. E-mail submissions are encouraged and may be sent to the editor at the Internet address indicated below.
3. Hard copy manuscripts must be doublespaced on 8 1/2" x 11" paper. References (i.e., notes, bibliographies) are typed, double-spaced, on separate sheets following the body of the text. (Do not use footnotes at the bottom of typed sheets of text.)
4. Submissions should usually be no longer than six to eight pages (1500-2000 words) in length. Longer articles may be accepted at the discretion of the editor.
5. High quality photographs (either prints or digital files) may accompany your text. Persons recognized must be identified by name and affiliation. It may not be possible to return photographs.
6. Texas Library Journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style, 14th ed., revised (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1993) for all matters of editorial and bibliographic style.
7. Texas Library Journal solicits articles on regular issues in the library field, and also accepts unsolicited articles deemed appropriate by the editorial staff.  TLA retains copyright over all articles published in the Texas Library Journal, unless other publishing arrangements are determined prior to publication.
8. All manuscripts will be considered for appropriateness. Those accepted for publication will be edited for length, timeliness, and readability consistent with publication style. The editor will notify authors of acceptances of manuscripts.
9. The following personal information is requested for all authors: name, address, title, workplace and work address, phone numbers, and signature and date of article submission.
