Governance Transformation Project

The Texas Library Association is taking a thoughtful step forward with the Governance Transformation Project. Through partnership with Strategic Association Management our leadership is looking carefully at how TLA is structured, how decisions get made, and how we can better support members while strengthening the association for the long term. This work is guided by an Executive Board appointed Governance Task Force, and just as important, by you.

Member voices are central to this process. We had strong, energizing focus group conversations at the Officer Governance Training and Workshop in Austin in July, and those insights are already helping shape the path ahead. Watch for upcoming messages from Task Force Chair and TLA Past-President, Valerie Prilop, plus virtual town halls, updates, and simple ways to share your perspective. This work is about building a structure that sustains our mission and enhances your member experience. Stay tuned and stay involved. Your voice is helping shape TLA’s future.
