Cosplay Fashion Show | Wednesday, April 17, 4 – 5pm (Café Stage, Exhibit Hall)
Don’t miss the first ever TLA Cosplay Fashion Show and Contest, the pièce de résistance of Comic Book Day! Be prepared for your imagination to run wild when characters and designs come to life.  Want to participate? Sign up by March 31.
Please note, weapon replicas will not be allowed at conference or in the Exhibit Hall.

Coretta Scott King Book Award 50th Anniversary Exhibit | Booth #1818
Visit this amazing exhibit celebrating the Coretta Scott King Awards organized by the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature (NCCIL), and brought to you by TLA, TeachingBooks.net, and NCCIL.

Hands on Labs (ticketed)
From web design, 3D design, and video creation, to cyber safety, virtual reality, statistics, and sketchnoting, participants will practice the skills needed to master a variety of technology. Devices or supplies are provided unless noted as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) in the program. Seating is limited for Hands on Lab sessions. Reservations must be made by Sunday, March 31 through online preregistration only.

Tai Chi | Tuesday, April 16, 12 – 1pm
Learn why the practice of Tai Chi has endured for a millennia. Practice with Master Vince Cobalis who will take you through sequences of connecting breath and movement.

Hetherington XXXII Fun Run/Walk | Wednesday, April 17, 6:45- 8:30am (ticketed)
Join us on Austin’s famous hike and bike trail for a fun run and walk looping past the Trail of Tejano Legends, Forever Bicycles sculptures, and the new Austin Public Library – Central Branch. Participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and refreshments. Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the men and women’s run and walk. Transportation to and from the run will be provided. Meet at the corner of Trinity & 4th Street. Run tickets must be purchased by Sunday, March 31, through preregistration.

President’s Yoga | Thursday, April 18, 7 – 8am
Start your day with TLA President-Elect, and certified yoga instructor Cecilia Barham for a gentle Hatha yoga class appropriate for all levels, including beginners.

Innovation Lab & TASL Maker Playground | Exhibit Hall 1
The Innovation Lab is a unique, interactive space in the Exhibit Hall that features an array of STEAM-focused events including educational programs, exhibitors, demonstrations, robotics competitions, and a library maker space prototype. The TASL Maker Playground featurs speakers from all over the country who will showcase Makerspace tools and provide participants with activities for school libraries K-12. The playground will be open Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17 from 10am – 5pm.  Daily Schedule

If you are in the Austin area and can’t make it to the full conference, purchase an Exhibits Only pass which will give you access to Monday night programming and entrance to the Exhibit Hall.
