Reach beyond your exhibit booth with marketing exposure that only a sponsorship will offer you.
TLA offers many sponsorship opportunities which include the TLA Annual Conference, Signature Leadership Initiatives, and Membership Outreach.
In addition to event sponsorships, you are welcome to propose a unique grant or scholarship in your company’s name. TLA investment opportunities range from academic scholarships, conference travel stipends, and research grants, in areas such as legislative, leadership, and public relations.
TLA-wide recognition and benefits start at $2,500. This means that you will receive recognition at the event(s) you sponsor as well as TLA-wide at the total level you choose.
All Sponsors of the most recent past year have first choice for the upcoming year. Deadline for first choice renewal is November 15.
Annual Conference Opportunities
The TLA Annual Conference is the event of the year. Each year, 7,000+ attendees and vendors are treated to national speakers, authors, continuing education, and more. TLA offers sponsors a wide range of opportunities to help support the mission and TLA members. Investments can be made to support smaller events, allowing you to focus your donation to a specific group. See a list of events and descriptions here.

Signature Leadership Initiatives
TLA Annual Assembly
The TLA Annual Assembly is a summer gathering of more than 300 TLA leaders and officers to plan and guide the work of the association. Signature activities at the conference include a First-Night networking social, Officer Onboarding, Educational Luncheon, and Industry Update by the Texas State Librarian. Among much recognition, sponsor will be provided a table top exhibit space in VIP placement as well as an opportunity to host a user-group meeting for up to 20 attendees.
TLA Leadership Events
A TLA Leadership Events Sponsor will provide support for three signature programs:
TALL Texans: This dynamic program includes four days of in-person interactive education and networking that empowers library professionals to become innovative and successful leaders of change focused on community needs. Participants learn more about one’s individual leadership style and values, becoming an effective change agent and taking new initiative for their institutions, their profession, and their stakeholders. In addition, a corps of elite mentors are chosen from among experienced library leaders to provide mentoring.
Executive Leadership Immersion (ELI): This senior level program provides concrete and focused development on the skills and aptitudes needed to lead today’s complex organizations. Highlights include transformational leaders from both inside and outside of the library profession and keynote presenter, Dr. Julie Todaro, Dean of libraries at Austin Community College and ALA Past President.
Leadership Launchpad: This early career program focuses on developing the next generation of leaders by providing a foundational framework for leadership, management, and long-term career planning.
Sponsor will be recognized at all Leadership Events.
District Meetings: Be a District Champion!
TLA has ten geographical Districts. Each fall, the Districts will hold a meeting for all TLA members in that specific district. Meetings range from multiple speakers to panels to full-day conference with exhibits, all focusing on trends and relevant information to TLA members. This is a great way to target a specific geographical area of Texas. Among many benefits is a table top exhibit space, VIP seating at a meal function and a 1 minute greeting to attendees.
Held three times per year (Annual Conference, Annual Assembly, and Winter). Company representative invited to attend dinner and participate in emerging trends discussion with Executive Board.
The TLA Programming Committee(ProCo) members are personally hand-selected and appointed by the TLA President Elect and represent some of the most innovative library leaders in Texas. This elite group of librarians represent all library types including school, public, academic and special and are deeply immersed in emerging trends. They meet continuously for eighteen months and are charged with reviewing and selecting more than 550 programs for the Annual Conference. This Planning Retreat is a key activity in shaping the educational direction of the annual conference. Sponsors of this event will have a very unique and personal way to connect with these top leaders and support the ongoing educational efforts of TLA.
Library Super Hero
Library professionals provide exceptional service to patrons throughout the year and are real community hero’s. Help us create an absolutely magical TLA Conference Experience for some lucky individuals who will be randomly chosen at the start of conference. Imagine being a conference attendee standing in line waiting to enter the exhibit hall, when suddenly…YOU BECOME A LIBRARY SUPERHERO! Recipients of the SUPERHERO experience will be given the red carpet treatment that will include VIP seating for two at the signature conference luncheons, Green Room Access and front row seating at General Session, invitation to reception held in the TLA President Suite, $100 gift certificate for the TLA store, and Sponsor Swag Bag (company provided). This “give moment” will be heavily promoted on social media.
New Member Toolkit
TLA welcomes more than 6400 members each year, and one of the first things a member receives is a digital “New Member Toolkit” with information on how to get involved with the TLA community, special programs and events, as well as networking and leadership opportunities. As a New Member Toolkit sponsor, your company’s logo and information will be kept top of mind throughout the year as members refer to this piece as an ongoing guide for their TLA engagement.
