Black Caucus Round Table is accepting stipend applications for TLA Annual Conference

BCRT invites professionals, paraprofessionals and students of African descent to apply for a $500 stipend to assist in the registration and accommodations of the annual Texas Library Association Conference.

WHO: Black/African American professionals, Black/African American paraprofessionals or Black/African American students

WHAT: Submit a simple application to qualify

WHEN: by deadline of January 31, 2024

                                                                      GUIDELINES

PURPOSE: To further the professional growth of library workers and students of African descent in the state of Texas by granting a $500.00 stipend for registration fees and conference expenses to attend the Annual 2024 Texas Library Association Conference.

AWARD: $500.00

                                                          ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Must be Black/African American

Must be a current member of Texas Library Association and Black Caucus Round Table

                                                        ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

Winner must attend the BCRT Author Brunch (ticketed event) and BCRT Reception during TLA Annual Conference

Winner must volunteer at the Black Caucus Round Table booth at the TLA Annual Conference

Winner must attend BCRT General & Business Meetings during upcoming TLA year.

 

                                    HOW TO APPLY: Submit application by January 31, 2024
