Public Libraries Division Stipend

Two stipends are available to qualified applicants employed at Texas public libraries to assist with costs associated with attending the TLA Annual Conference.

The Public Libraries Division of the Texas Library Association awards two scholarships (stipends) of $800 to two qualified applicants currently employed in Texas public libraries. We intend one scholarship for a librarian and one for library support staff. We thank Biblionix for their sponsorship of one of the stipends.

The purpose of the PLD Scholarship is to encourage TLA and PLD membership, to advance the goals and objectives of the Association, and to provide the means for supporting participation in TLA.

The stipends are available for public library employees who have not attended a TLA Conference before. Recipients will gain insight into the Public Libraries Division organization by volunteering during the conference.
