Distinguished Service

Honors a librarian who demonstrates superlative leadership and service to the library field.

The Texas Library Association Distinguished Service Award is presented to a librarian who has demonstrated substantial leadership in the profession, and provided outstanding services in one or more areas of the library profession.

Any TLA member may nominate a deserving librarian for consideration. Nominees must be TLA members. Nominations open September 15 and close February 5. All nominations must be submitted through the online form.

Once the nomination is submitted, you will receive a password that allows you to add to, or edit your nomination materials. You will also receive a separate password to provide to people submitting any letters of reference.
