Ray C. Janeway Scholarship: $2,000

  • Texas resident;
  • Attained at least a B average during the last two years of a baccalaureate program;
  • Accepted as a graduate student at a Texas ALA-accredited, or Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) library education program.

Vivian Greenfield Award: $1,500

  • Texas resident;
  • TLA member in good standing;
  • Supporting educational endeavors reinforcing work with youth. This can include, but is not limited to professional development activities (like taking a course or attending a conference), implementing a new idea in the workplace, performing a study, and more.

TLA Summer School Scholarship: $500

  • Texas resident;
  • Attained at least a B average during the last two years of a baccalaureate degree program;
  • Must be registered for MLS degree courses during a summer session at a Texas ALA-accredited, or Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) library education program. (While applicants may be enrolled year round, the scholarship applies only to the summer session.

TLA Scholarship applications are closed. Applications for 2027 scholarships will open in September, 2026.
