Reality: Reopening Academic Libraries
October 27, 2020 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Academic librarians faced a host of challenges this fall when colleges and universities began reopening. Some remain closed, providing services virtually. Others are open in a limited capacity, with new standard and policies that must be followed. No matter how reopening looks on your campus, academic librarians are having to be creative as they rise to meet the challenges of supporting students and faculty in the COVID-19 era.
Much of the summer was spent planning for when students returned, whether virtually or in-person. But how does reopening look in reality? What parts of the plan worked, what didn’t, how have librarians had to continue to pivot and evolve?
