Borrowing a set of Rubik’s cubes from their lending library offers several STEAM opportunities in the library. I started off with researching the cube, working on solving the cube via reading procedural text or watching videos, designing mosaic art out of a collection of cubes, and finally challenging students to solve the mosaic for a display (used 70ish cubes). During Makerspace time students often choose to try to solve a cube. The possibilities the cube offers are so engaging!
