New Year, New Skills: “Surviving Difficult Conversations”
The holidays are over, and now we can all – exhale. In most families, there was a conversation or two during the holiday gatherings that was a little bit stressful.
Our workplaces are the same way. In the same way you might have to talk with Grandma about not forcing her baked ham on the new vegan girlfriend of her grandson, as a librarian you are often called to have a frank conversation with a colleague or patron to discuss a delicate or sensitive matter.
Emma McDonald, the Director of Library Systems for Mesquite ISD, will demonstrate the best way to have these frank conversations in a simple and effective way that reduces stress. Add this leadership tool to your toolkit in this innovative TLA Learns session. This session will not be recorded.
