The Texas Maverick Graphic Novels Reading List (TMGNRL) is a recommended reading list developed by public and school librarians from the Young Adult Round Table (YART). The purpose of the list is to encourage students in grades 6-12 to explore a variety of current books.
The titles here are a wonderful and wide selection of books for middle and high schoolers. From the teenager using her imagination to make sense of life after her parents’ divorce in Tori Sharp’s Just Pretend, to the adventures of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle (later Batman and Catwoman) in Melissa de la Cruz’ Gotham High, there’s a graphic novel here for every teen.
