A Message of Support from the TLA Executive Board

The Texas Library Association lends our collective support to our colleagues in North Carolina and Florida, where recent hurricanes have caused widespread devastation. Libraries in these regions have been deeply affected, impacting their communities. We understand how crucial these spaces are during times of crisis as they offer refuge, information, and resources.

As we extend our heartfelt support, we encourage our members to consider contributing to disaster relief efforts in both states directly to the state library associations’ disaster relief funds: North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and Florida Library Association Disaster Relief Fund. Donations can also be made to the American Red Cross and the American Library Association’s Disaster Relief Fund, two funds providing critical assistance to those in need.

In times like these, the library association community’s strength is in our unity, compassion, and commitment to helping others. We know that together we can help these libraries, library workers, and their communities recover and thrive once again.

Thank you, TLA community, for your continued dedication to service and for embodying the spirit of support that defines our profession.

Sincerely,
The Texas Library Association Executive Board
