Call for Proposals: 2026 TLA Annual Conference
TLA is now accepting proposals for the 2026 Annual Conference, taking place March 29-31, 2026, in Houston, TX at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Submit your proposal by June 23, 2025 (midnight CST) for a chance to share your expertise, ideas, and innovations with library professionals from across Texas.
Conference Theme: Cultivating Community, Thriving Together
As you craft your proposal, keep in mind our theme and conference goals. We seek sessions that showcase innovative learning while reinforcing the core principles of the librarian profession.
Conference Goals:
- Foster collaboration and meaningful connections among library professionals, empowering them to build strong, thriving communities through shared knowledge, resources, and support.
- Champion libraries as essential community hubs by embracing innovative services, partnerships, and programming that strengthen social bonds and enhance collective well-being.
Proposal Evaluation:
All submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Planning Committee based on standardized rubric. Selected presenters will be notified of their session status in mid-August 2025.
