Meet TLA’s New Director of Education: Julie Marshall

We are delighted to announce that Julie Marshall, CAE, CMP, DES, is TLA’s new Director of Education. Most recently, Julie was the Director of Meetings and Events at Strategic Association Management, where she led the planning and execution of conferences and events.

Julie was the meetings director for the Science Teachers Association of Texas and the Texas Dental Association. She has been planning conferences for nearly two decades and is highly skilled in the development and management of educational programming, volunteers, staff, and events of all types and sizes. Julie’s experience also includes working for the State Bar of Texas as their meeting and sponsorships manager.

As a lifelong reader and library enthusiast, Julie is thrilled to bring her work experience and skill set to the Texas Library Association, whose mission and values align so closely with her own.

Julie lives in Round Rock with her husband of 29 years and the two best dogs ever, Max and Mollie. She spends as much time as she can with her grown children and enjoys reading, walking, and taking photographs.
