Supporting Summer Reading at Libraries at H-E-B

Summer is one of the busiest and most fun times of the year for libraries. From reading challenges and educational programs to hands-on activities for children and families, libraries provide opportunities for learning, discovery, and connection throughout the summer months.

This June, library supporters have an easy way to help make those experiences possible. From June 3 – 30, customers at H-E-B stores can donate at checkout to support summer reading programs and other initiatives at libraries across Texas.

The funds raised through this campaign help provide grants that allow libraries to expand and enhance their summer programming, activities, resources, and learning opportunities that help libraries better serve their communities.

The Impact of Giving

Last year’s campaign demonstrated how small donations can create meaningful change for libraries and the communities they serve.

• 140,000 Summer programs hosted by Texas public libraries annually
• 104 Texas libraries received TLA grants for summer programs this year
• 5M+ Texans benefit from library summer reading programs each year
