TLA staff member recognized with Rising Lone Star Award at TSAE Annual Conference
Christy Reynolds, the Membership Engagement Manager at the Texas Library Association, was recognized with a Rising Lone Star Award at the Texas Society of Association Executives’ 2023 “New Ideas” Annual Conference in Fort Worth, September 24-26. Congratulations, Christy!
“I am so proud of this recognition for Christy in the association profession here in Texas,” said Shirley Robinson, Executive Director of TLA. “Her dedication to her role as Membership Engagement Manager showcases the lasting impact she has already made on TLA and our members; and I know her continued growth and contributions will benefit the team and our mission moving forward.”
The Rising Lone Star Award is given to young professionals who are emerging association leaders in Texas. Candidates must be nominated by a supervisor or colleague who is a TSAE member executive or association staff member. Judges considered the individual’s employment history in association management, achievements, honors, and contributions when deciding upon the winners.
Christy has worked at TLA since March of 2021. Among her many projects, she supervised the launch of TLA’s new AMS (association management system); is in charge of TLA’s many awards and scholarships, and takes care of the membership needs of TLA’s 5,000+ members.
At the TSAE conference, this year’s Rising Lone Star Award recipients were Justin Ables, CAE, Elisa Barnes, CAE, Kelsey Copeland, Christy Reynolds, and Tiffany Schwartz, CNAP.
