Serving North Texas.

Welcome to District 7! Our district’s membership includes librarians, staff, trustees, full-time library students, and other interested individuals representing school, public, academic, and special libraries. We are located in North Texas. District 7 includes 20 Texas counties: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cottle, Denton, Erath, Foard, Hardeman, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Montague, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, Wichita, Wilbarger, Wise, and Young.

A Focus on Mindfulness: Aware of our Communities, Aware of Each Other

This event will have something for everyone, with sessions of interest for academic, school, public, special librarians and library workers as well as students in the library science field.

Our Keynote speaker will be James Butler, Social and Emotional Learning Specialist from Austin ISD.  We are seeking proposals on this topic from academic, public, school, and special libraries.

Registration Fees include Parking and Food.
TLA Member: $30.00
Non TLA Member: $40.00
Student & Paraprofessional: $15.00

Lunch will be included with the cost of registration and catered from Z’s Cafe.

Our schedule format is as follows:
•    8:30-9am Check In
•    Morning- Keynote Speaker 9:00-10:00am
•    Breakout Sessions I & II 10:30 -11:45am
•    Lunch (incl entry into museum) 11:45am-1pm
•    Breakout Sessions III & IV 1:15-2:30pm
•    Breakout Sessions V & VI 2:45-4pm
•    4pm onward – Networking and Self-guided tour of Museum
