District 7

Serving North Texas.

Welcome to District 7! Our district’s membership includes librarians, staff, trustees, full-time library students, and other interested individuals representing school, public, academic, and special libraries. We are located in North Texas. District 7 includes 20 Texas counties: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cottle, Denton, Erath, Foard, Hardeman, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Montague, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, Wichita, Wilbarger, Wise, and Young.

 

Volunteer

We have district business meetings yearly at TLA Annual ConferenceTLA Annual Assembly, and our District 7 Fall Conference. For more information about joining or participating in district activities, email the District Chair.

Fall Meeting

TLA District 7 Fall 2023 Meeting:

The District 7 Fall Conference is scheduled for Friday, October 13th, 2023, at the UNT Willis Library. Room 250H. 1506 W Highland St, Denton, TX 76201

District meetings provide regional settings for presenting continuing education, carrying on legislative activities, and recruiting members. The annual fall meetings are an opportunity for local librarians, para-professionals, and trustees from all types of libraries to meet, network, and set a foundation for collaborative efforts.

Cost: $25 member, $35 non-member
