Promote and improve library services for young adults in Texas

The Young Adult Round Table’s  (YART) brings together TLA members who are concerned with the reading habits of teenagers and young adults, and promotes improved library service to these individuals.

The goal is achieved specifically by:

  • Providing for and stimulating the professional and the career development of personnel in public and school libraries;
  • Facilitating effective cooperation among library personnel in public and school libraries;
  • Identifying, developing, and maintaining library services that will meet the informational, cultural, educational, and recreational needs of young adults of Texas;
  • Working cooperatively with other round tables, discussion groups, or divisions that have similar or allied interests.
